Fun true story time: I was a size 12 in middle school. I used to overhear my grandmother asking my mother why I had gotten so chubby, and wasn’t it so unusual for me to have such large breasts for so young? Then, to my face, every single time I saw her, my grandmother would say “You look like you lost weight! I really think you have. No, I’m serious, you’re really starting to lose weight!” with this big fake smile on her face. Which was bullshit. I saw this woman regularly, and my body never changed. If anything, it only made me vastly uncomfortable with myself, because it was obvious that she was not comfortable with me. 

So yeah. Don’t do that.
